How It Happened
Late 2024
How We Met
Although we grew up in the same neighbourhood and attended the same school, our paths never truly crossed. It wasn't until a church event in late 2024 that we were finally introduced. What began as a simple conversation soon turned into regular chats, genuine friendship, and the beginning of something beautiful.
January 2025
Our Journey Begins
After months of getting to know each other, we officially began dating in January 2025. From that moment, every shared experience strengthened our bond and confirmed that God had brought us together at just the right time.
Dec 2025 – Feb 2026
Introductions
As our relationship grew, it was time for our families to meet. Between December 2025 and February 2026, we were warmly introduced to each other's families, receiving their love, guidance, and blessings as we took another meaningful step toward building our future together.

Kuhanda Ithigi / Kumenya Mucii
Surrounded by our families and loved ones, we celebrated our traditional ceremony — Kuhanda Ithigi (Kumenya Mucii) on 25th April 2026. It was a beautiful day of honouring our families, embracing our traditions, and formally affirming our commitment to one another as we prepared for marriage.

The Wedding Day
Our greatest adventure is just beginning. On 26th September 2026, by God's grace, we will stand before our family and friends to exchange our vows and begin the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife.
